Malaysia's bustling capital, affectionately known as 'KL', is a rich mix of old and new with both eastern and western influence. - Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower) Opened in 1996, this fabulous touristic tower with 421m is the highest in Asia and the fourth tallest in the world. A bird-eye view from the observation deck offers an overview of the city of Kuala Lumpur.
- Petronas Twin Tower This modern architecture is the tallest twin-tower in the world and consist of 88-storey with a height of 451.9m above the Kuala Lumpur city skyline. A visit to the 44th floor of the tower will give you the feeling of 'Top of the World' feeling, as you preview the Kuala Lumpur city from the sky bridge.
- National Planetarium This Planetarium has galleries such as Space Theatre, Space Science Exhibition, Ancient Observatory Park, etc. The observatory park had equipped with a 14-inch telescope.
- Chinatown (Petaling Street) Chinatown with its own distinct character is a row of colourful street of shops, hawker stalls, Chinese herbal medicines, textiles and varieties of gift shops. This famous street shopping is widely visited by tourist from all over the world.
- Sri Mahamariamman Temple (Hindu Temple) This is the most well-known Hindu Temple in Kuala Lumpur and one of the oldest in the country. One of the Hindu's well celebrated festivals 'Thaipusam' with the procession of deity 'Lord Muruga' takes place early of the year. This festival is well visited by tourist from all over the world.
- Sze Ya Temple This temple was built by Yap Ah Loy, the Chinese immigrant who founder Kuala Lumpur as to pay tribute to Sin Sze Ya and Si Sze Ya Taoist deities during the Civil War.
- Thean Hou Temple This Buddist Temple which is located at a pleasant environment outside Kuala Lumpur serves one of the main Buddist culture and learning centre. The temple was ornately decorated and has plenty of animal statues which represent the Chinese zodiac.
- Central Market (Market Square)e This pre-war building with Neo-Classical design is located in the heart of the city and had been transformed into an arts and cultural centre.
- Kuala Lumpur Railway Station British architect, A.B. Hubbock's designed this building based on Moorish architecture and was built in 1910.
- Independence Square (Dataran Merdeka) On 31st August 1957, the Union Jack was lowered for the last time, signifying the end of British colonial rule. And the independence for Malaysia was declared. This is a good place to begin your journey into Kuala Lumpur's past.
- Sultan Abdul Samad Building Designed by British architect A.C. Norman and built in 1897. This Moorish and Victorian architecture building was the British Administration Centre during British colonial.
- Kuala Lumpur Memorial Library This colonial building houses the resource centre for information on the history of Kuala Lumpur.
- National Museum It has impressive collection of exhibits on local history, culture and customs, art and handicraft, etc. Not forgetting the outdoor static displays of old locomotives, vintage cars and replicas of ancient Malay Palaces, etc.
- National Mosque The mosque has elements of contemporary Islamic Arts, calligraphy and ornamentation.
- National Monument The monument was constructed in 1966 to honour the country's fallen heroes and was designed by the famous sculptor, Felix de Weldon who also designed the Iowa Jima Memorial in Washington. With the height of 15.54 metre, the bronze monument depicts seven soldiers symbolizing the seven qualities of leadership.
- Parliament House The Malaysian Parliament house is a building complex where the Malaysian Parliament assembles. The complex comprises two parts, a 3-storey main building and a 17-storey tower. The main building hosts the Dewan Rakyat and the Dewan Negara while representatives' offices are located in the tower. Tunku Abdul Rahman, the first Malayan Prime Minister, suggested the construction of the Houses of Parliament in December 1959.
- Tun Abdul Razak Memorial This is once the official residence of Malaysia's Second Prime Minister, the late Tun Abdul Razak who was popularly known as 'Father of Development'. The memorial houses a vast collection of his personal and official memorabilia during his tenure as Prime Minister from 1970 to 1976.
- Istana Negara (King's Palace) This is the official residence of His Majesty, the Yang di Pertuan Agong, King of Malaysia. Visitors will be attracted with the beautiful landscaping garden and will have the opportunity to take photographs with the colorfully dressed guards.
- MISC Museum A visit to this museum will earn you the history of shipping in the country, including other valuable information on the Malaysian shipping industry and makes your visit a truly enriching experience.
- Dayabumi Complex The Dayabumi Complex is a major landmark in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It houses several commercial facilities and one of the earliest skyscrapers in the city. It is built with 10% white marble.
- Jamek Mosque The mosque is a stunning example of Indian Muslim architecture which was designed by British architect A.B. Hubbocks and was built in 1909 at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers where Kuala Lumpur had its beginnings.
- Malaysia Tourism Centre The building is one of Kuala Lumpur’s important historical and architectural landmarks and was built in 1935 and later served as the war office of the British Army and also the headquarters of the Japanese Army. Today, it is a one-stop centre offering a wide range of services to assist tourists in planning a fruitful holiday in Malaysia.
- National Art Gallery It creates space for the preservation of various facets of art in Malaysia with number of galleries housing various permanent and temporary exhibitions.
- ASEAN Sculpture Garden This garden has a collection of prize-winning sculptures by artists from ASEAN countries.
- National Bank Money Museum Has an interesting display of old Malaysian currency, commemorative coins, colonial coins, etc.
- Numismatic Museum There is a collection of local and regional coins and notes, some dating back to the Malacca Sultanate.
- Kuala Lumpur Textile Museum This museum showcases the rich heritage of Malaysia's arts and crafts in textile. Also get an insight of textiles of historical value.
- Orchid Garden It has more than 800 species of Malaysian orchids.
- Hibiscus Garden It has more than 500 various species of hibiscus including rare collections.
- Bird Park Many species of birds from all around the world come together under an environment that has been recreated to resemble their natural habitat.
- Butterfly Park This Park houses more than 6,000 various species of butterflies from all over the world.
- Deer Park The dear park has collection Malaysian deer and allows tourist to hold these friendly creature.
- Cathedral Saint Mary The Virgin This vintage Anglican Church was designed by British Architect, A.C. Norman and another beautiful piece of work in Kuala Lumpur.
- National Handicraft Centre This national one-stop ethnic handicrafts centre has a wide collection of batik, silver and brass ware, jewellery and Malaysian potteries. A visit to this centre will able you to create your own batik piece and watch the artists at work and take home a souvenir or two.
- Islamic Arts Museum This museum houses various themed galleries and one of the well known galleries is the Islamic Architecture Gallery which showcases miniature of Islamic renowned buildings of the world.
- ASEAN Sculpture Garden This garden has a collection of prize-winning sculptures by artists from ASEAN region.
- Armed Forces Museum The museum houses collection of pictures, paintings and exhibits of weapons captured from communist terrorists, old artillery, naval guns, canons and military vehicles.
- Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Memorial This memorial was the official residence of the first Prime Minister of Malaysia, also known as 'Father of Independence' and had been dedicated as his memorial. The residence is kept exactly as it was during his lifetime and all the records and documents pertaining to his years as the Chief Minister of Malaya and Prime Minister of Malaysia are also exhibited.
- National Theatre (Istana Budaya) The theatre is responsible for the development of all forms of theatrical art and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment while still retaining the national heritage and traditional Malay design. Local and International performances are held here regularly.
- KLCC Park This superbly planned park which is located within the vicinity of the Petronas Twin Tower. It features indigenous trees and palms, sculptures and murals and the fountain in the middle of the bustling city.
